How do I get started coaching with you?
Click over to the Get Started! page and fill out the form there. I’ll get in touch with you within 24 hours to get you started!
What do you do as a coach?
I create a space that is safe enough for you to take big risks. As a coach, I listen for what you’re saying and for what’s behind what you’re saying to help clarify what’s important to you, what you most desire and how you’ll get there.
I partner with you to make room for new perspectives and to find a way where none is apparent. Finally, I hold you accountable for taking the steps you agree to take. Oh, and I help you laugh a little more and dwell on the negative a little less.
What is my part in the coaching relationship?
You’re responsible for showing up with a commitment to the process. You agree to be prepared for our sessions, which means thinking about what topic you want to coach on and being willing to tell your truth even when it isn’t pretty. You agree to keep our appointments, follow through on your accountabilities and to design with me to create the coaching relationship that will be most fruitful for you.
What topics can I coach on?
We can coach on any topic that’s important to you: career goals, your role in your relationships, staying organized, work/life balance, ability to stay present in your life, what you want to be when you grow up…You name it, we can coach on it.
How long is a typical coaching relationship?
You decide when you’re done coaching. The length of the coaching relationship varies for each client. At the beginning, we’ll discuss what success will look like for you and how you’ll know it’s time to stop coaching.
How often are sessions scheduled?
I coach most of my clients twice a month. However, in all respects, we work with what works for you. We can design a custom package to coach more frequently if you would like that support.
Can coaching really make a difference?
Yes. Read the Client Testimonials.
I completely believe in the power of coaching. I didn’t just read about it: my own work with my coach is priceless to me. It has helped me make conscious decisions about which perspective I choose to view life and work from and to live that out in the world. And it has encouraged me to step out more boldly than I would have dared to on my own.
I believe coaching can transform our world. Toward that end, I’m a coach with LeaderSpring, Wardrobe for Opportunity and with Springboard Forward. These organizations provide coaching for nonprofit Executive Directors and the working poor respectively to support change leaders and to empower economic mobility.
How can I schedule a consultation?
Just send me the Contact Form, call me at (510)625-0200 or email me at renata@beingdaring.com to arrange a consultation. We’ll talk about what you are looking for and how coaching might fit. The consultation is completely complimentary.
